    Peggy Fortnum Obituary

    Copyrights is sad to announce that Peggy Fortnum, the original illustrator of the Paddington Bear novels by Michael Bond, passed away on the 28th March 2016. Peggy was an artist in various media, designer, book illustrator and teacher. She studied at the Tunbridge Wells School of Art and then at the Central School of Art in London. After being discharged from service during the Second World War following injury she concentrated on illustrating children's books from 1944 to 1989. She also worked on the BBC Television programmes Jackanory and Playschool.

    Spectacular lights at Sagamiko Illumination in Japan with Paddington

    There are only a couple of weeks left until the lighting spectacular Sagamiko Illumination 2015-2016 ends at Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest, the park for which Paddington Bear serves as spokes character.  

    The lighting spectacular is made doubly special as visitors can enjoy the illuminations and the cherry blossoms together, spending the perfect day at the resort, playing at the amusement park and relaxing in the Ururi hot spring facilities, followed by viewing the lighting spectacular and cherry blossoms at night. Sagamiko Illumination comes to an end on April 10th.
