HarperCollins secure world rights for The Adventures of Paddington TV publishing

The series is executive produced by multi-award-winning David Heyman (producer of all eight of the Harry Potter films, Paddington 1 & 2) and Rosie Alison (Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Paddington 1 & 2).  The Adventures of Paddington is produced by Karen Davidsen and Simon Quinn, and co-produced by Rob Silva.

The deal is part of a continuing partnership between HarperCollins with The Copyrights Group and will be co-published with HCUS.

HarperCollins Children's Books has been the home to Michael Bond's Paddington Bear for over 60 years. And now following the hugely successful collaboration for the movie tie-in books for the recent Paddington films, this new range of colour publishing launches in the U.K. with a charming picture book, The Wrong List, and My First Sticker Book in April 2020.

The Wrong List (PB £6.99) is full of warmth and slapstick humour: when Paddington is given a list of chores to do, he is thrilled because it makes him feel part of the family; but chaos ensues when he takes the wrong list by mistake!  My First Sticker Book (PB £5.99) is a fun-packed launch activity book with big stickers for little paws introducing new readers and fans of the TV to the world and hilarious adventures of Paddington.

More titles using the fabulous imagery from the television series will follow later in the year, including a summer themed activity book, an exciting new novelty format perfect for festive gifting, whilst Christmas comes to 32 Windsor Gardens in a second delightful picture book.
