The Snowman and The Snowdog feature on Special Edition Stamps and Coins

This Christmas, The Snowman and The Snowdog have taken flight over the Isle of Man where they feature on special edition stamps and coins.  The artwork from The Snowman and The Snowdog, the sequel to Raymond Briggs’ classic The Snowman, has been faithfully reproduced in perfect detail.  These stamps and coins will be in general circulation only in the Isle of Man, which adds to the exclusive nature of this licence.

The Copyrights Group, working on behalf of Snowman Enterprises Ltd, brokered two separate but complimentary licensing deals with The Isle of Man Post Office and Pobjoy Mint.  The two organisations have gone on to work together to ensure maximum exposure across the island this Christmas.

The set of six stamps are available in a presentation pack, first day cover or as mint set in addition to sheets of 25 gummed and self-adhesive stamps, all of which can be pre-ordered online at

The Isle of Man Post Office is also offering a free reply service for all children that write letters to Father Christmas.  Artwork from The Snowman and The Snowdog forms the basis of the campaign materials and sees The Isle of Man Post Office receiving almost 1,000 letters from local schools and nurseries.

The Isle of Man Post Office is selling gift packs featuring the stamps and the coin from Pobjoy Mint.  In past years they have sold around 2K of this item.  The Snowman and The Snowdog giftpack has broken all records, with preorders of the pack exceeding all previous themes.

Pobjoy Mint has released two new coins for Christmas 2014, both featuring The Snowman and The Snowdog in stunning detail.  They have sold exceptionally well both locally and internationally to wholesale coin companies.  The Christmas 50 Pence coin and also a Christmas Crown are both considered to be wonderful collector’s coins and are available at or via the Isle of Man Post Office website.

The stamps and coins were released on the 23rd of October and all are available to purchase at:
