Fungus The Bogeyman

Originally written by Raymond Briggs and published in 1977, Fungus the Bogeyman is a slimetastic tale of life as part of the snot ridden Bogey Society. Living in Bogeydom, a dark and damp underground existence, Fungus spends his day resurfacing to scare unsuspecting humans.

In 2004 Fungus was adapted for television by the BBC in a three part series starring Martin Clunes and Fay Ripley. There have also been a number of Stage Shows, based on the book.

A new adaption for Sky1 launched Christmas 2015 as a three part series. The series Directed by Downton Abbey’s Catherine Morshead and written by Threesome’s Tom MacRae featured a mixture of live action and animation and introduced this classic character to a whole new audience.
