Please Look After This Bear. Thank You

For more than 55 years, British-born writer Michael Bond has been entertaining children and families all over the world with his stories of Paddington Bear™, the marmalade-loving, duffel-coat-wearing, Wellington-booted bear from Darkest Peru.

Since the first book, A Bear Called Paddington, was published in 1958, a further 13 full-length novels and countless other formats have been published. Paddington's adventures have been adapted several times for the small screen, most notably by Michael Bond himself, in collaboration with Ivor Wood and FilmFair for the BBC in the 1970s and HBO in the 1980s.

The BAFTA winning film from StudioCanal held the No.1 spot at the UK box office in December 2014 and was the No.1 bestselling DVD of 2015 in the official BVA Sales chart. Paddington is the only English language, non-US studio family film to cross $270m at the International Box Office. The Paddington film received 5 star ratings and has won numerous awards including, Best Screen Play 2016 at The Writers' Guild Awards.

The film, a mixture of live action and CGI was produced by David Heyman (producer of the Harry Potter franchise) and directed by Paul King (The Mighty Boosh and Come Fly With Me) with an all star cast, headed by Hugh Bonneville as Mr. Brown. Part of a franchise, the second film will be released in November 2017 much to the delight of parents and children alike!
