MISS POTTER
A compelling new feature film – Miss Potter – follows the exceptional life of Beatrix Potter, creator of some of the world’s most popular children’s characters. The story charts her life from a lonely Victorian childhood to her emergence as a woman of great talent who defied convention by pursuing a career as an artist and writer and who ultimately fell in love.
Starring Academy Award® winner Renée Zellweger (Cold Mountain , Bridget Jones's Diary) and Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge!, Star Wars Episodes 1 to 3) and directed by Chris Noonan (Babe), this magical biopic traces the journey of this fascinating woman from the printing of her first book and her secret relationship with her publisher to her rise as the most successful children’s author of all time.
Frederick Warne will publish a tie-in programme for the release of the film, as well as working with Momentum Pictures and Brand Exchange in the UK, and a number of associates in other territories, with a range of third-party partner and retailer promotional tie-ins under discussion. Miss Potter is currently due for release in the USA at the end of December 2006 and at the beginning of January 2007 in the UK*.
