Product Approvals

All products and promotions undergo a rigorous approval process to ensure faithful representation and reproduction of each property and a consistently high standard of product.

 

The team in the Approvals Department at The Copyrights Group is one of the most experienced product development teams in the licensing industry and work with licensees on product development to ensure that product makes the best use of the property that has been selected.

 

Most of our properties have a style guide, style kit with CD-ROM, or images available online. Your licensing executive will be able to advise on this when discussing the licence.

• All designs for products, packaging and sales material need to be sent to Copyrights for review. We customarily turn round product approvals and respond to licensees in five days or less.
• Design intentions should be submitted as soon as possible so we can ensure they contain no errors that may later prove costly to amend, in both time and money.
• When reviewing clothing concepts we like to see storyboards for the complete range showing garment shapes, colours and fabric swatches, embroideries and overall prints so as to see the overall direction of the collection.
• Once the design direction has been established, the next stage is the submission of final artwork, followed by proofs/pre-production samples.
